Buckeye Families Ask

Frequently Asked
Questions

How far is Morrissette Martial Arts from Buckeye?

We're in Old Town Litchfield Park, roughly a 20-35 minute drive depending on where in Buckeye you're coming from - closer for Verrado and Sundance, a bit further out toward Tartesso.

Does ESA cover Buckeye families?

Yes — ESA is a statewide Arizona program, not tied to a specific city or district, so Buckeye families qualify the same as anywhere else in the state.

What age can my Buckeye child start?

As young as 3.5 years old in our Little Ninjas program. From there, students progress into Kids Taekwondo, then Teen & Adult classes as they grow.

What's the difference between Taekwondo and Hapkido?

Taekwondo emphasizes striking — kicks, blocks, and forms. Hapkido focuses on redirecting an opponent's force through joint locks and throws rather than striking power. Students training with us learn Hapkido as part of their progression at no additional cost.

Is martial arts training suitable for kids with ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or an IEP?

Yes. We have experience working with neurodivergent students, sensory-sensitive kids, and children with a 504 plan or IEP, and structure our classes to help every student find their fit.

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your first class is free with no obligation or commitment — it's a chance to see the school and meet Master Morrissette before enrolling.
